Meissner's corpuscles are sensitive to which stimulus?

Deep pressure

Temperature

Light touch in the dermis

Meissner's corpuscles detect light touch. They are located in the superficial dermis, within the dermal papillae of glabrous (hairless) skin such as fingertips and lips. As rapidly adapting mechanoreceptors, they respond quickly to gentle contact and small movements across the skin, helping you feel textures and fine touch. They are not responsible for deep pressure (that involves deeper mechanoreceptors like Pacinian corpuscles), temperature (thermoreceptors), or pain (nociceptors).
